Business leaders take note - an increasing number of people, from the C-level executive to staff employee, are engaging in business and personal blogging, as well as other social media activity. This affects your business development efforts in a number of ways. It's time to plan how business blogging and social media interaction can be used for effective business development in your business. I explored this topic at the Blogher.org conference in New York this week.
The event caught my eye for a number of reasons, most importantly because the topic of Business Blogging was the highlight, and it is really just emerging. I needed to know what companies and people are saying and doing about this, as Time2Market tries it out as well.
Key insight – It's time to develop and manage your social media strategy for competitive positioning and market leadership. Contact Time2Market Inc. to learn more about how you might use social media tools for:
- company, product and service showcasing
- customer support
- new product development
- marketing and sales
...among other things.
Many thanks to Blogher.org for its first conference in New York, which successfully brought together great women business leaders, from large and small businesses, to share their experience and expertise. It was inspiring to meet and hear from women leaders at the Washington Post, Newsweek, Google, Hearst, iVillage, AOL, Cisco, Dow Jones and other enterprises that are successfully implementing on-line business development strategies for major corporations. It was also inspiring to meet and learn from entrepreneurs building businesses with blogs and other social media tools.
